Microchelonus vickae sp. nov.

Type locality. Czech Republic (south Moravia).

Description. Male. Body length of holotype 3.1 mm. Body length of two paratypes 3.0-3.2 mm.

Head. Transversal, roundly narrowed behind eyes, about twice as broad as long. Ocelli small, OOL equals POL. LO 1.7 times as TD and twice length of malar space. Temples 0.9 times as long as LO. Face 1.7 times as broad as high, about twice as high as clypeus. Antennae with 18 segments, slightly longer than head and mesonotum combined; 1st flagellum segment 3 times as long as wide, apical segments about twice as long as wide.

Mesosoma. In dorsal view, as wide as head and a little wider than carapace. In lateral view, 1.6 times as long as high and as long as carapace

Wings. Radial cell in forewing not large, its length along the metacarp 0.8 times as long as length of pterostigma. Second radio-medial cell 0.7 times as large as radial cell. Second radial abscissa as long as first abscissa, 3.5-4 times shorter than third abscissa.

Legs. Fore and hind femora 3-3.5 times as long as broad. Hind tibia a little longer than hind femur. Outer spur of hind tibia longer than inner spur and slightly longer than half of 1st metatarsal segment.

Metasoma. Carapace elongate-oval, 1.8 times as long as maximum breadth, incurved apicoventrally for 0.2 of its length. AMA very small and oval, in rear view of posterior end about 0.15 of width of carapace.

Sculpture. Head behind eye weakly transvcrsly striate, face faintly longitudinally striate, frons concentrically striate. Clypeus centrally weakly punctate and shining. Mesonotum rugose- punctate. Scutum anteriorly punctate and longitudinally striate, area before scutellum with some rugae. Scutellum largely laterally and posteriorly sculptured, centrally punctate and more or less shining. Propodeum rugosed with destinct transverse carina, lateral tubercles well developed. Carapace granulate with thin longitudinal undulations spanning its 1/2 visible surface.

Colour. Body black. Legs: all coxae and femora black; fore tibiae brown, fore tibiae dark; all tarsi dark. Forewings slightly infuscate. Pterostigma, metacarpus and costal vein brown, other veins brown yellowish.

Variability. AMA may vary in size from 0.13 to 0.2 of width of carapace in rear view (see Figs 19 and 20).

Differential diagnosis. It reminds M. luzhetzkji, but differing in shape of head (more transversal in the new species), larger AMA, longer radial cell in forewing, slightly shorter carapace and softer sculpturing
