Microchelonus scaberrimus Tobias, sp. n. (figure, 19)

Material. Holotype ♀, 3 labels: "Coll. Foerster," "Chelonus scaberrimus m., 16 gl. [antennal segments]," 3rd label handwritten, illegible. Deposited at MNHU.

Description. Female. Head roundly narrowing behind eyes; its width 1.1 times that of mesonotum, 1.8 times its own length, 1.2 times its height. Temples 1.1 times as long as transverse eye diameter. Width of ocellar triangle equal to distance from it to eye. Distance between posterior ocelli 3 times ocellus dia-meter. Longitudinal eye diameter 1.7 times transverse one, 2.3 times gena height, 0.91 times face width. Face height 0.59 times its width, 1.5 times clypeus height. Antennae thickened in the middle, 1 st flagellar segment 4 times, 6th 3 times, 11th 1.5 times as long as wide [apices missing]. mesosoma length 1.3 times its height. Propodeum without transverse carina, with rather small blunt lateral processes. Radial cell twice as large as 1 st radiomedial one, its anterior margin as long as pterostigma. 1st radial abscissa slightly longer than 2nd (9 : 8); 3rd nearly straight, 3.5 times as long as 2nd, 1.8 times as long as 1 st radiomedial vein. Nervulus at distance equal to its own length from basal vein. Hind femur 4 times as long as wide. Hind tibia as long as hind tarsus. Inner spur of hind tibia 0.4 times as long as 1 st segment of hind tarsus; 5th segment of hind tarsus as long as 3rd, shorter than 2nd. Abdominal carapace oval, bent downward apically along 0.1 of its length, 1.85 times as long as wide, 3 times as long as high. Ovipositor concealed.

Vertex behind ocelli and temples with numerous fine transverse rugae. Face and frons with concentric rugae more distinct on frons. Clypeus punctate, shining. Mesonotum with reticulate sculpture before scutellum; dorsal side of propodeum and mesopleura with slightly coarser, and ventral side of propodeum with finer reticulate sculpture than that on mesonotum. Scutellum with gentle sculpture, punctured in the middle, shining. metasoma with longitudinal rugae sinuate and weakly anastomosing in basal half and fine, considerably more abundant and anastomosing in apical half.

Body black. Apex of fore femur, fore tibia and tarsus, all brownish yellow. Middle and hind tarsi brown. Middle and hind tibiae brown, with wide yellow band in the middle.

Body length 3.6 mm.

Male unknown

Differential diagnosis. M. scaberrimus differs from the closely related M. longiventris in the shorter mesosoma and radial cell and the presence of yellow band on the hind tibia. It is also closely related to the Mongolian M. dilatus and the Far Eastern M. erratus nom, n. (see below); differing from the former in the short mesosoma, absence of transverse carina on the propodeum, and presence of median yellow band on the middle and hind tibiae; from the latter, in the narrower pterostigma with radial vein arising closely behind the middle (in M. erratus, from the apical third), and noticeably, though not much, longer radial cell.
