synonyms
body
shapeBody length ♀ 3.8 - 4.1, ♂ 3.3 - 3.9 [T21]. ♀ 2.6 - 4.1 mm. ♂ 3.3 - 3.9 mm [T14].
colorBlack [T21].
head
shapeHead slightly wider than mesonotum (12:11), roundly narrowed behind eyes, 2.2 times as wide as long, 1.2 times as wide as high. Temples equal in length to the transverse diameter of the eye. Base of ocellar triangle less than OOL by 1 diameter of ocellus. POL is twice OD. The longitudinal diameter of the eye is 2 times the transverse diameter, 3.5 times the height of the malar space, and equal to the width of the face. Height of face 0.6–0.5 times width, 1.5 times height of clypeus [T21][T14].
sculptureHead with fine transverse rugae [T14]. Head finely sculptured, face with numerous fine concentric rugae. Clypeus weakly punctate, shining. Vertex behind ocelli and temples with numerous fine rugae parallel to occipital carina [T21].
color
antenna
shape ♀Antennae bristle-shaped, the same length as the head and mesosoma taken together: the length of the 3rd segment is 3 times its width, the segments in the apical part of the antennae are equal in length and width, or slightly longer than the width, they are cylindrical or slightly depressed [T21][T14].
shape ♂Antennae 21-23-segmented, bristle-shaped, length of segments in apical part of flagellum 1.3 times their width [T21][T14].
color
mesosoma
shapeMesosoma length 1.3 times its height. Propodeum with transverse carina and obtuse lateral teeth [T21][T14].
sculptureMesootum before scutellum and along line of notauli coarsely reticulate, its anterior part and middle of lateral parts with rather coarse and dense punctures, without rugae [T21]. Roughly sculptured, slightly shiny. mesonotum before scutellum and along notauli coarsely reticulate [T14].
color
legs
shapeHind femur 3 times as long as wide [T21][T14]. Inner spur of hind tibia 0.35 times as long as 1st segment of hind tarsus, length of this segment 4 times its width; 5th segment less than 2nd, slightly more than 3rd [T21].
sculpture
colorLegs black, the apices of the fore femora, fore tibia, and bases of the fore tarsus are brownish yellow or light brown. The middle tibiae and tarsi of all legs are dark brown [T21]. Legs mostly black, fore tibia yellowish brown or light brown. ♂ Hind tibiae entirely dark brown [T14].
wings
shapeThe marginal cell of the fore wing is twice as large as the 2nd submarginal cell [T21][T14]. 1-R1 equal to the length of the pterostigma. 3-SR longer than r, 3-4 times shorter than SR1, 2-2.5 times shorter than 2-SR. SR1 s-shaped curved. 1-CU1 = 0.6-1.0 times cu-a [T21].
colorThe wings are strongly darkened, the pterostigma and veins are dark brown [T21][T14].
metasoma
shape♀ Metasoma slightly widened towards apical third, apex semicircular, apically slightly curved; 1.6 - 1.7 times as long as wide, 3.1-3.4 times as long as high. ♂ metasoma considerably widened, 1.6–1.8 times as long as wide [T21][T14].
sculptureMetasoma with relatively coarse, weakly sinuous and relatively weakly anastomosing longitudinal folds, disappearing, becoming thinner, in its posterior third [T21] ♂ with rather coarse longitudinal rugae reaching the apical third of the metasoma [T14].
color
♀ ovipositorThe ovipositor is hidden or protrudes to the length of the 1st segment of the hind tarsus [T21]
♂ apertureApeture occupies the entire width of the posterior metasoma in the form of a slit tapering to the sides, its width is 7-8 times its height in the middle; the surface inside the aperture is smooth, but its middle part protrudes tuberously along the entire height, densely grained [T21][T14].
other info
distributionNL [FE].
remarksClose to M. scabrosus Szépl., Differing in the female practically only in more strongly darkened wings. In addition, in M. scabrosus, the antennal scape is often yellowish-red (more often in males) and a light band on the hind tibia is more or less clearly pronounced, while in M. nigrimembris they are black. But these characters of M. scabrosus are variable, and along with individuals characterized by moderately darkened wings and developed yellowish bands of the hind tibia, there are individuals in which the wings and tibiae are more darkened. However, males of these species have an abdominal opening: in M. nigrimembris it is slit-like and occupies the entire width of the abdomen, while in M. scabrosus it is elongated oval, occupying only 0.7-0.8 of the width of the abdomen [T21].
